On Ubuntu
- Ubuntu 20.04 or later: packaging is gated at glibc 2.31, the version stock Ubuntu 20.04 ships. Anything older will not start.
- Running the AppImage: chmod +x cardumen-linux-x86_64.AppImage, then launch it. Ubuntu 22.04 and later also need libfuse2: sudo apt install libfuse2.
- Prefer a package: the release also publishes a .deb — sudo apt install ./cardumen-ide_<version>_amd64.deb, which puts cardumen-ide on your PATH. This page links the AppImage only: the download endpoint serves one installer per platform.
- No GPG signature: the Linux packages ship unsigned. That decision is still open, so trust rests on HTTPS and the SHA-256 published with the release — not on a repository key.
- No auto-update: the update feed serves macOS and Windows artifacts. On Linux you download the new version yourself when one ships.
A system gets a link only when the API answers with an installer published for it. Nothing here is hardcoded: the page asks on every load, and a system with no release stays on «Coming soon» with no link.

First steps
- Open the DMG and drag Cardumen to Applications.
- Open Cardumen. Enter your CARD-XXXXXX code and email, or pick a plan if you have none.
- Cardumen installs the cardumen CLI for you and shows the installer output. Then you are in.
Requirements
- macOS: 12 or later.
- Space: the exact size shows next to each button once the release is published.
- Code: CARD-XXXXXX, sent by email after activating a plan or a trial.
- CLI install: curl, git and openssl. On macOS also Homebrew, which the installer uses to add minisign; on Linux it uses your package manager.
Questions
- macOS says the app is from an identified developer. Is that expected?
- Yes. Cardumen is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Click Open.
- I already use the CLI. Do I need the app?
- No. The app and the CLI share the same license and the same ~/.cardumen. Keep the CLI, add the app when you want the cockpit.
- How do I verify the download?
- Compare the SHA-256 shown next to each button with shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/cardumen-macos-*.dmg.
- I don't have a code yet.
- Pick a plan or start a trial; the code arrives by email. You can download the app first: it asks for the code on launch.
